Dr. Andreas Demetriou
General (Internal) Medicine and Cardiology
Dr. Andreas Demetriou received his degree in Medicine from the University of Athens
in June 1971.
Since then and until 1978 he worked and trained in various hospital in the UK namely Tameside General Hospital in Manchester, North Manchester General Hospital, Broadgreen Hospital in Liverpool, and finally Warrington General Hospital in Warrighton.
He returned to Cyprus in 1978 and worked at Pafos General Hospital for 3 years.
From 1981 he worked in the private sector and in 1992 he and his colleagues established St. George’s Private Hospital.
He is a member of the Executive Board of the hospital and one of its key personnel in terms of managing its medical resources. He is still active in general medicine with a particular specialist interest in cardiology and has keen interest in rheumatologic deseases.
